Also, do you feed in a seperate enclosure?

i was told that you have to make pretend that its actually eating a live one, so he knows how to behave ones he starts eating live ones.. i dunno.. i read it on several articles already..

yes, separate enclosure, coz i dont want the mice blood to stale on his home.

You need to feed bigger meals...It took him forever to position the rat because it was too small.

oh.. i was suppose to ask that.. he was able to devour the whole thing in less than 5 mins.. and he looks like he wants more after..

Absolutely never heard of it. It's definitely not necessary since none of the thousands of members here has mentioned doing it.

You're going to have to clean the enclosure sometime, though. Totally unnecessary.

That's 136g. He could eat a 20g meal. Definitely something bigger than that. It was smaller than his head!

I wiggle the tails after they strike too.....Just so they get a good grip on it.
Also, he could eat an adult mouse no problem. If you keep feeding him small meals like this he will not grow.
Mouse blood in the enclosure? who cares. Wait until you have a godzilla poo. Mouse blood will seem like nothing.
