There you go. Yes, I would try and take it back. There are too many un-needed accesories in there. Balls don't really need heat lamps (for example) they do better with belly/back heat. Heat lamps tend to suck humidity like a vaccum. Of course, if he's staying in a cool room a heat lamp would be needed. I would personally keep your snake in a tub, but I realize it's fun to be able to see new ones. I had my first one in a aquarium too. But, to me, tubs are so much easier.

Those kits are awful deals. I highly suggest a tub with some belly heat. Your BP wont be roaming around alot anyways, unless its stressed. I find that the stuff you buy for your pets from petsmart or stuff like that are just rip offs and you regret it. You end up finding out the pets dont use it/need it or you could of used a simple household item for a tenth of the price.
Its a live and learn experience. As you get more into herps you'll find alot of supplies you'll need wont come from petsmart or any pet store. Dollar stores and hardware stores are great places for us herpers. But you wont find everything at those places. You will need to splurge on some things, like thermostats.
Well congrats on entering the hobby. But beware, its an addiction and soon 1 snake turns into a whole collection.
