    2010 Albino Spider Pricing?

I should have a nice handful of albino spiders but I do not know what the market value is on them, I see one for $2000 on kingsnake and that seems a little steep. I could have sworn I saw them last season for $1400. Anyone have any idea what they might be going for as well as spiders het albino?

    Re: 2010 Albino Spider Pricing?

Really i would think 2000 is too little. Me I would go probably 2500 for females and 3000 or maybey 3500 for males. Spider het albinos I think would be between 800 to 1300. But I dont now their market price right now so I hope someone else will chime in.

I would also expect to see spiders het albino for around 800, so yeah, 2000 sounds within reason for an albino spider, if not on the low side. Lot of work went into making that snake--3 mutant genes have to be present (1 spider and 2 albino genes).

They are around $2000 for females here in Canada so I don't know what you would be asking in the US but $2000 USD and up would be a bit on the high side.

$2500+ is high considering even with shipping and CITES paperwork you could order one north of the border and it would still be less than $2500

I agree, anywhere in the $1800-$2200 depending on grade would be a good place to start.
If you see some selling higher you're doing great, if you see some selling lower than adjust your prices accordingly.

    Re: 2010 Albino Spider Pricing?

Thanks for all the info. I have four clutches from him and was not sure what to post them at. Last year I produced 3 spiders het, and 4 albinos but never hit the albino spider. I hope this year is different. I also bred him to my mojave female. Here is another question..... mojave het albino value and spider mojave het albino value? Thanks

    Re: 2010 Albino Spider Pricing?

    Wow okay,

I'm not too sure about the Mojo het Albino but somewhere in the $500-$800 range. A Mojo Spider het Albino would be in the $2000 range give or take based on sex and grade. This is solely based on 09 Mojo Spiders selling for around $1800.

You also have to consider supply and demand. If there are other breeders selling the same snakes and the market has a high amount of "whatever" the prices go down. The same applies if you are one of only a few to offer "whatever" the prices go up.

Hope this helps a bit. Another thing to do is sit back and wait for the "Big Guys" to start posting their prices and adjust yours to be competitive.

On a side note, remember I'm basing this all on CDN prices. It's up to you to do the converting of currency. lol
