    Non captive bred

    Hi all,
I'm new here. I have a question about buying a BP in st louis. I cannot find any captive bred animals. All the babies I have found are imported from Africa. I really dont like to support the import of animals trade because I'm aware of the consequences.

Could anyone suggest where I could get a captive bred BP in my area?

BTW I have never kept a BP but have lots of experience with other snakes,

    thanks

Check faunaclassifieds.com or kingsnake.com. They both are great sites for purchasing animals. And fauna has a BIO section so you can usually see who your buying from before you pay them.

We got our BP from Beltd's Aquarium in Hazelwood

    Beldt's Aquarium & Pet Shop
    www.beldtsaquarium.com
    7025 Howdershell Road
    Hazelwood, MO 63042-3811
    (314) 895-3350

He was captive bred and we've had good luck with him so far (he did have mites when we got him, though). They DID tell us he was a girl and our DD named her Bellatrix - imagine my surprise when the vet checked and we found out he was a boy. He's Voldemort now
