Re: diet...
Are there any feed stores in your area that sell purina products?

Re: diet...
look up the nutrients and ingredients of the country acres hog feed, then find a similar hog feed at your local feed store (If they don't have the country acres). Look around. Almost everywhere in the country has some kind of feed store within a reasonable distance... often times people just don't know they are there.

Re: diet...
Hog feed + a side of black oil sunflower seeds twice a week mixed in with the hog feed.
Oh and the occasional snake shed for a snack.

I feed Mazuri Rodent Formula 6F. I supplement daily with a birdseed mix consisting of dried fruit, nuts, and sunflower seeds. I also toss in fresh veggies a few times a week (broccoli is their favorite by far).
If you're looking for the most cost effective way to breed ASFs this isn't it. If you're looking for the best way to raise happy, healthy ASFs that are a perfect nutritional source for your snakes, IMHO, this IS it.

I used to feed the fancy, expensive stuff... until the miles and miles of data in spreadsheets I compiled proved that the hog feed works just as good if not better for a FRACTION of the price.
