Hahaha! I've seen the light and it's far bigger than one manufacturer with cloned phones on one network (that drops calls), with an open source!

Seriously though, my neighbor who has an iPhone and I were at dinner last night and we were discussing my recent trip to NC and she says "so, you had coverage while you were visiting your folks?" I looked questioningly at her and said "yeah...I have coverage where-ever I go - I'm on Verizon" and she goes "oh yeah, I forgot - I'm on AT&T - I have lots of dead areas".

She can't wait for her contract to be up - she so ready to move to Verizon!

    That!
A few months ago I drove from NY to see my sisters, one in VA and one in NC. I used my Moto Droid on Verizon to navigate the entire trip (Google/maps/navigation!!!) and make/receive calls. I never dropped a call or hit a dead zone, not once.
My son drove to his new summer job last month, from NY to TN. He navigated, made and received calls and had Pandora playing the entire trip. There were tornado warnings and bad storms along the way, he was able to pull up radar and keep up to date on the weather. He hit a dead zone once along the way. Once.
There is something to be said for Android, especially Android on Verizon!! Win/win
