Hercules Beetles
or Dynastes hercules. Does anyone know of a breeder or let alone a simple caresheet? I can't find one anywhere! I'm so fascinated by these creatures and love to own and breed a nice collection of them! If anyone knows, please tell me. Thanks!

Reason: didn't know they were dead bugs.

Re: Hercules Beetles
Not sure, but I seem to recall that a lot of the giant beetles are pretty restricted / controlled in the U.S. For that or whatever other reason, they really never have "taken off" here the way they have in, say, Japan.

Re: Hercules Beetles
My boyfriend used to have four! He bought them from a breeder in Ohio, I have no idea who. He fed them maple syrup and pineapple slices everyday and occasionally kept a heating lamp on them. You need at least 2-3 inches of substrate because they love to burrow. At night they like to climb too so you should also try to provide them with some branches. They're kind of hard to breed though. My bf had two females and two males. We saw both pairs mating, but we haven't seen any grubs yet.
If you have any more questions, I can just call my boyfriend up and he can probably answer them
