GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLL!
I thought the first game between SA and Mexico was pretty good. I'm a little disappointed at Mexico because I think they played a better game and they missed too many shots, but SA definitely deserved the one they made. Both keepers did a great job, though.
I'm looking forward to USA vs. England tomorrow.

I'm all excited about it.
Brazil is my team (lived there for a bit), but I always love to watch the USA and Nigeria as well...
World Cup is one of my favorite sporting events.

I thought the same too! The second half seemed so long but i think it was a nice opening game. Lots of action!
Uruguay and France's game was very dissapointing though

Cool! My stepfather was Brazilian so I grew up playing soccer and watching World Cup games. I also have several friends from Nigeria so we root for them as well. The Nigerian team has a good shot at going far this year. They are a bit older and more mature this go around.

My brother took a month's vacation from work so he can catch all the games live on tv.
I'm rooting for Spain and cheering for the US.
I'm a big soccer fan.

Re: Anyone Watching The World Cup?
I was just saying to my mom how "cool" it was that the whole Mexican half of my family took the day off/went into work late to watch the opening match. It was a tremendously BIG deal for us and we had a lot of fun watching it. My dad is like a Futbol savant and he is obsessed with the sport to the point where I feel he will give himself a heart attack someday. It kind of sucks because he follows the sport a lot globally, but he's from Honduras and so his country is ...not so good and it really breaks his heart ...for reals.
I lived in England for a bit when I was at Oxford and so todays match (me being so patriotic) is going to be a BIG one for me. I really want USA to win so bad because I've watched our team throughout the year but all of my English friends are telling me to get ready for an upset. xD Either way it's going to be a lot of fun since it's my Birthday today and we will be having a part at the same time!
Also, I watched Argentina play today (if you are from latin america you know it's completely alright to hate Argentina with a passion in general) and I have to say I can say why they call Messi the best player in the world. It was truly a nice match to watch. I agree though, the France/Uruguay game was kind of a bore but the Mex/RSA was great too.
-keeping fingers crossed-
