After years of searching I just found my long lost baby sister Megan whome I hadn't seen in 10 years!
I found her on facebook. She is 15 now. We just had a long conversation and I'm so happy that I found her and that she wants to get to know me and her nephew
The back story.. Our real mother had 5 kids. The first 4 were adopted to good families. I was simply adopted by my real dad who then married his current girlfriend. My other 2 sisters and brother were adopted by other families. We found each other in 96/97. I had known my birth mother since I was 17 as well. She had gotten married at that time and had my baby sister. Being older and more able to take care of herself, she wanted to finally raise one of her own children. She then found out she had terminal colon cancer and died in 2001 when Megan (little sister) was only 5. Megan was taken in by our birth mothers sister whome I had only met once. They moved to TX. This "aunt" didnt keep in touch and I think she didnt like me or the others because we were not raised with her family. I was worried she would never tell Megan about us and that I would never be able to find her.
Well after searching online for a couple years and hoping that eventually she would be allowed to have a facebook or myspace page and that she would use her real name, I finally found her profile. She didn't know who I was and her profile was private. I added her not kowing if it was the Megan I was looking for. She messaged saying I dont know you. I said I was looking for my sister and gave her details about our birth mom, her birthfather and our other siblings and she remebered. When she said I'm the one you're looking for, I about fell out of my chair! Im so happy right now. We IM'd for awhile and she is going to call me later on. She is worried about how her "mom" (our aunt) will take it but she plans to tell her that her big sister found her. She is so much like me. She has lots of pets and she is the cutest thing. Now I don't need to be sad about telling anyone I have a little sister anymore![]()
