There's only ~3.5 billion barrels recoverable form the Bakken shale, so enough to fuel us for about 6 months.

And the alleged 2 trillion is largely unrecoverable - at best 800 billion. And even then, its hard to get to and has many technological hurdles that may not even make it feasible.
