Well, here's a little update and now a very serious question. My supposed male Corn, Apophis, began laying eggs earlier this evening. I'm feeling very duped and stupid at the moment, because apparently someone didn't know what they were doing when they probed "him" and I believed that they did know.

To top it all off, I believe that a good number of the eggs are viable. Though I usually keep Apophis in her own tank, a little while ago I had to improvise because my UTH gave out on me at a time when I couldn't just run to the store and get a new one right away. I had housed her with another Corn a long time before that, so I put her in with Lilith until I could get the new UTH. It wasn't longer than 48 hours and I didn't think anything of it until tonight when Apophis laid eggs. So now I am almost sure that Lilith is a male and that she got it on with Apophis.

So here's my question. I took Apophis to the vet on Wednesday and he gave "her" a shot of antibiotics, because at that time we didn't realize she was a she and was going to be laying soon. Does anyone think that the antis would harm the viable eggs? I am really hoping not, because this will be my first clutch of eggs and I am totally stoked.

Anyway, to everyone that mentioned "she" looked like she was about to lay eggs, kudos to you! And I apologize about insisting Apophis was male. I guess you really just never know 100%, and I feel like an @$$ for having believed someone just on what they'd said. Thanks everyone, and I'll keep you posted.
