    bp first aid kit

ok I building a bp first aid kit ( that an also work for treating egg issues like mold and wonder what other stuff could be included) I got so far the neo with out pain relief ( which is getting harder to find) I got some liquid bandaid ( to cover up mold spots after they wiped clean ) as well for small bites. I know I used super glue ( on myself ) for some cuts but I find it goes south after about 2 years even unopened. I was thinking of one of those prepaid cards but I betting they got a shelf life if not spent or what not after a set time.( only reason I not consider getting those prepaid type.) I amit they be nice to have if I can load x amount every so often until it hits a limit of some kind. it also be nice way to plan snake purchases since i can load money all year onto it and by thetime I go to the show or place an order i could possible havea nice amount on there.

what other things do you think might be good for a emergency type kit for reptiles.( that would have a good shelf life. )

Either some Chlorhexidine or Betadine and maybe some Q-Tips...

You can get pre-paid credit cards from TD bank, and they have no shelf life, they last forever, and can be spent anywhere that accepts visa. They are actually considered gift cards from TD bank, but function just like a pre- paid credit card.

I have to admit, they are great to have around, even if you only keep them for emergencies like I do.

A can of Povent a mite is always handy to have around to. And printout with the number of your local herp vets. That way you don't have to look it up or worry about net outages. In my experience when things go wrong they like to do it all at once.

    Re: bp first aid kit

Betadine, chlorhexidine, bleach, provent-a-mite, athlete's foot powder (for stubborn mold spots on eggs), q-tips, gauze bandage, speculum set (for inspecting mouths), needle-less syringes, digital scale, snake hook, long forceps, tweezers, a roll of scotch tape, paper towels, a plastic bin with a lid and clamps (for soaking), sexing probes, small ziploc baggies...I think that's all.

That's a list of all the things I've needed to use over the years, and a few I've just heard suggested. (I've never had mold grow on living eggs, to date).
