It does suck. But you do have to respect that the ump admitted it was the wrong call after he saw the replay. We're all human and we all make mistakes. What shows character and integrity is when you make a mistake you own up to it. It's just unfortunate this was the outcome.
I read that the commissioner isn't going to reverse the call. I personally think he should. All parties involved acknowledge the mistake, and reversing the mistake has absolutely no outcome on the game.
I am not a Tigers fan, but I saw that call and I was shocked. It was an obvious call, makes you think he did it on purpose. Jim Joyce will forever be labeled for this now. Sucks for him! Can't wait to see a red flag rule in MLB!
