My daughter's first pet was a hairless rat. We had her for almost 3 years. She was put to sleep because of cancer at the ripe old age of 2 years and 10 months old.
Ratt HATED rodent chow. It was offered everyday but I also gave her the "pretty bird" extruded feed mixed with alittle of the mixed dried fruit, nuts and seed mix for the large hookbills. She also was given warmed frozen mixed veges a couple times a week and the occasional pasta, rice or other bland tidbit from dinner. She was an awesome pet.
I think that the sodium levels in the crackers and nuts needs to be monitered and the cereal is pretty high in sugar. But Ratt is the only pet rat I have ever had so I don't have lots of experience and the rats we keep now are feeders so they eat Mazuri 6F Rodent chow.
