    Heating a single tub?

How would I set up a heat source for a single tub not in a rack? I hate cleaning tanks and the risk of them breaking while moving it. I have read and know how to set up a tub but sense it's not going to be in a rack I'm not quite sure how to go about getting a heat source. So my question is how do I heat a single tub?

    Re: Heating a single tub?

Just get one of those reptile heat pads that they sell online or any reptile supplies store. I would definitely recommend hooking it up to a thermostat just to be on the safe side though.

Actually, it would probably be cheaper to get a chunk of flexwatt and wire it to your thermostat. Thermostats can be a little costly so it all depends on how much u wanna spend ya know.

If you are using it for a snake then use and Under Tank Heater or Flexwatt, just like you would with a tank. You will definitely need a thermostat. I recommend using aluminum tape to stick it on...

ZooMed 500r is a good stat for a single tub application for the money.

Herpstat, HELIX, Ranco or Johnson would be your best bets. Personally I use Herpstat, but I have used Ranco in the past and had no problems...

I use the Helix and it works great. The only thing I dislike about it though is there is only 1 button so if you wanna turn the temp down a couple degrees, you have to hold the button down forever.

I've heard good things about both the herpstat and the ranco. I'm sure you couldn't go wrong with either.
