Need help asap!
Please someone reply to this asap. I'm so worried about my snake I'm about to cry.
I JUST finished feeding her. When I put her in the box, both her eyes where fine. But I just took her out, and one looks very different. almost like it looks like a retained eye cap (which I know it's not). Could it just be because the humidity in my room was to low that it looks the way it dose? Because I have seen her eye dented just due to low humidity.
Here's a few photos.

Left eye

It doesn't look like such a eye cap anymore, it has smoothed out a little since I put her back in the high humidity.
I do feed live, and the moment she grabbed it, it looked like she had the head in her mouth, but I didn't flip her over to double check because I didn't want to bother her. If any one has anything this on this, please tell me. I'm so worried!
Also, if anyone recommends that I bring her to the vet, I won't have the cash until next Thursday. Would there be anything I could do in the mean time to help out, or wait.

Its Vet time. Not a retained eye cap yet a infected eye from something it poked or got bit.

It REALLY looks to me like she got bit. I dont feel live personally, so am I 100% sure? No... But... Darn close.
Some pet stores sell reptile wound lotion, which might help. If it was me, I would CALL the vet and ask for advice. That's all I've got, hopefully someone else with experience with this kind of thing has something more concrete for you.

Re: Need help asap!
looks like a pretty gnarly rat bit to the eye.. keep a watch on it and you might GENTLY apply some antibotic ointment to it once a day..they can heal from amazing things and never miss a beat.. see here an eye injury I delt with a few years ago and she did just fine..

Yeah. I know it's not a retained eye cap. I might be able to get some of that wound lotion. But I won't have any cash until next thursday. Will the lotion work for now until I get the money?
Please, any help on that would be great. And she will be switched to f/t now. I feel like such a horrible and irresponsible snake owner. =[

Do not use the wound lotion. Im agaist all stuff mass produced and sold at pet stores for reptiles care.
You can get generic neosporin for under $4

Re: Need help asap!
Okay. Thanks. I have some bacitracin, will that work? I did set an appointment for her next thursday to see the vet to know exactly what he'll recommend. I just feel so horrible, it's beyond description.
Also, I left a message to have the vet call me back, and see what he might recommend for the mean time. I still feel like crap. Not gonna lie.
Will she go blind in that eye now?

Re: Need help asap!
I wouldn't use anything other than Triple antibiotic..its like 1.25 at walmart..bum a quater off the next 5 people you see and go get you some.. Keep its enclosure clean..really clean..and if it starts to look swollen or discolored get to a vet..

Re: Need help asap!
So will either neosporin or the Triple antibiotic work? And I know no added painkiller. Will it say right on the tube if it has it is it?
Sorry for all the questions, she's just the first snake I've owned, so I haven't run into anything like this yet.
And thanks for the help everyone.
Also, I'd really like to know if she'll be going blind in that eye? I know that they don't see well visible anyways, but I'm just curious.

Yes it'll say on the tube w/Pain killer.. As far as going blind in the eye, she might..then again she might not. Keeping her clean, hydrated, and treating her with the antibiotic ointment is going to give her the best shot at keeping the eye right now..
