I bought my first pair back in 2008. Very very comfortable shoes. I now own 3 pairs and am very happy with them.

I've tried some on and if I hadn't just bought a new pair of sunglasses right before I tried them on I bet I would have picked them up. Pretty dang comfortable.

    Re: Vibram FiveFingers

My husband has some and he really likes them. He primarily wears them while working out--especially when lifting weights because he says they don't redistribute your weight improperly like running shoes do and they allow you to have more direct contact with the ground which is good when lifting (I think I've got that right--I'm just spouting what he told me one time). He also wears them for water sports, to the beach, etc.

Brett and I both have them. We also use them when working out. I run in them. My footing feels very stable and balanced when running.
    We love them.

I have a friend who absolutely loves his for running. He said that they force you to run a lot better and more naturally, which I think mlededee was getting at.
