just give him a bath and wipe him down with a washcloth in the water should do the trick.

The bath idea will work. keep the water very shallow. He may panic if he's not used to it. Be positive the drain is firmly plugged and if he's small, that he can't get into the overflow if you have one.

The key here is tepid: Your body is at 98F or whatever, "warm" to you may be "hot" to your ball python. If in doubt, go cooler. Then just gently pull a rag down his body a few times.

Your BP may even like it, as my goofy female does.

i use warm water and like a squirt of anti bac soap but not alot at all always done me well

Light dilution of Johnson-Johnson baby soap...

I mix the water with a light dilution then always rinse the snake when done with fresh water. If I ever have one slither through there own feces I find plain water doesnt always remove the smell.

While the general idea is right, the details are not. It's not because your body temperature is warm. It's because your temperature sensors give you feedback in relation to what they're currently experiencing. Stick one hand in cold water, the other in warm water, then both in room temperature water. You'll see what I mean. Also, it depends on the thermal conductivity of objects. Feel your room temperature wooden cabinet, then the room temperature metal pot that's inside it. I bet the pot feels cooler even though they're both the same temp.

I'd stick a thermometer in the water just to be safe.

Nice warm washcloth will be fine to get all the fecal matter off him. Antibacterial soap is not advisable and all the other stuff is a little overboard. They have a lot more stuff that gets on them if they are in the wild, antibacterial soap is not in the wild the last time i check. Less is best in this situation. Make sure you clean out his cage. I would worry about that more than "disinfecting" your snake.
