Yes but you can breed a normal spider to the 0.1 Axanthic. Keep a 1.0 spider het axanthic off spring and then breed that back to the mother. Pluss you can then sell off the rest of the offspring to cover your feed costs, vet bills ect. Thats what I personally would do.
1.1 Het Albino Ball 1.0 Spider
    1.0 Mojave Ball 0.1 Pinstripe
    0.1 Honey Bee 0.2 Normal

very true...........it would take a little longer.........and in my eyes would be the most fullfilling way to make it............some people dont have patience though. like for me thier are a lot of morphs I love but I bought all the ingrdients to make em.like pieds for example...........i coulda bought a pied but instead i bought a cluctch of 0.4 66% hets,a 1.1 66% het and got a 1.0 66% het pied for free. all for what you could get a pied for this year............when i bought all these they were going for $1500 a pop though............but i have a chance to make my own and a few more if anything.............i only own and bought one double gene animal and its a doozy! she should be ready real soon...........this year im only producing single gene animals but next season will all be double and tripple genes...........problem is Im gonna want to keep a lot of it lol.............
38 bps and counting 3 in the oven and 11 on the way and they are still breeding

I agree. Except I wont play with pos hets on my males. Theres to much chance for me to put 2 pos hets together. If I atleast know the male is a het its easier to prove out but thats just personal preference. It would only take an extra year or so. Thats why I say make the axanthic a female.

Re: How do you get an Axanthic Spider?

But .4 out of 4 females in one clutch gives you a good chance.... I could have gotten 1 100% or 4 66% from one clutch..if I get lucky and prove at least one out I'm cool if I prove all four out I'm sitting pretty... I like to have fun I'm probably gonna sell all the het males or trade em or breed the 100% het male or get a pied on a breeder loan to prove em out...more of a fun kinda lottery thing for me cause all but one have the so called markers on them so I wanna try and see if it is what it is...

Re: How do you get an Axanthic Spider?

also don't forget there are wha now 3 different axanthic lines that are not compatible with each other.. So the spider that the axanthic needs to be het the same line as the axanthic the op has now..
Was married to 4theSNAKElady (still wish we were)

Mech I think hes more asking how to do it But you are correct that he has to use the same lines. Be it VPI or whatever.

JE Rep. Theres just to much chance in that for me. Personally Im not willing to risk that my male is the one that isnt het. I guess you could get a 2.4 and split em off into 1.2 groups. But it all comes down to personal preference.
