Should I leave him in for longer?
Hi,
So I have been trying to pair up Rowan ( my little black pastel ) and Cleo as I think they would be the best combination for making nice black pastels from the females I have.
They have been together for three days at this point and, gods love him, he spent the first two days at the wrong end.
But this morning I peeked in and saw this;

And then tonight they are like this;

So.
Should I leave him in for longer to see if he actually manages to do the nasty or pull him out and start showing him the anatomical diagrams?

Is that rooster old enough to crow?
I guess, keep letting him try to figure it out.

Re: Should I leave him in for longer?
I say leave him in for another day or two. The young ones often need more time to figure things out, and it looks like she's still playing the submissive role. Take him out if she starts laying on him or he's curled up by himself.

I say leave him in, or try again later. Took my boy a couple tries to find the right end--he literally spent an hour or so chasing her around the cage trying to lock with her head one evening! Next morning though, he had it all figured out.
I think your boy can do it! Pretty snakes by the way. I like Rowan's flaming and patterns. Good luck!

Give him another day or so. He is still sweet talking her.

This is what I do
I'd leave them be as long as one of these two don't happen.

Re: Should I leave him in for longer?
Update;
He was still just snooning her today so he is now back home to think about what he hasn't done.
I'll see if he is intrested in eating tomorrow and keep an eye out for low pressure weather fronts. I may even try him with another girl to see if that helps - and, if it does, he may get his first three in a tub.
