    Freshly shed Marius

My BRB shed today, so I took a few pictures of him and thought I'd share.

    Snake in the grass!

He's not sure he likes this.

"Maybe if I dig, I'll find a way out of this stickly stuff...."

He preferred to lay his head on my hand, lol.

    I love his colors.

    "M" for Marius.

    Such a good boy.

Did he have any problems adjusting to people, mine is still a bit nervous and I want to never have him bite me so I have been really really easy with him and use gloves....is there any transitional period that it helped to only use hands?

Nope. From day one this guy has been super friendly. I've heard that neonates and hatchlings can be nippy, but I guess I just got lucky. He handles being held very well and is a curious, gentle boy. I think you should just use your hands. It will get him used to you and your scent. Try putting a t-shirt or something like that you've worn in the enclosure overnight for a couple of nights, this also helps them identify your smell with "home".

Nice pics. I love BRB's color and patterns. For some reason, they remind me of those VW vans the hippies cruised around in back in the '60's...

LOL, Vypyrz! And thank you for the compliments. Marvelfreak, thank you also, but you really are being too kind. I usually take about a 100 pics and hope that at least a couple of them turn out.

Thanks for the compliments, Whoohoo and Boanerges. And yeah, I did get his name from Anne Rice's vampires. Marius was one of my favorite characters in the books.
