Yay! Fidel took two f/t medium adult mice for me tonight!(I didn't have anything bigger on hand, though I will be going to Petsmart for a few frozen small rats this week, and making an online order next week.)
I'm glad he cooperated! I put him in a shoebox with holes in it, in the bathroom where I thaw the mice, and I let the mice thaw next to the box for about 15 minutes. He tried to avoid the first one, until he realized what it was, then he struck it, and I jumped, lol. Nice feeding response at least! He took the second one right away.
Together, the mice weighed a total of 28 grams, which is about half of what a normal meal for him should weigh, but this is his first meal in a while so I think it's okay that it was a smaller one. Yay Fidel!
