Re: May have lost my first clutch

if the eggs candled with good veins showing, incubate all of them, you have nothing to lose for trying. my very first clutch of eggs dried so much that the top touch the bottom and most of the hatchlings made it. I now use press n seal and it works great.

one of the biggest mistakes made is too much of a change. A snake egg will adapt some to it's enviroment. a big change, example low to high humidity can kill an egg. this I read from the ball pythons of the world book by VPI.

corey woods had a post reply that stated be careful adding too much water to the egg box, you're better off lightly misting the eggs with water and bring the humidity back slowly.

good luck with that clutch and keep us posted, don

Keep your hopes up. Snakes have been hatching eggs for a lot longer than we have been on this planet. If they still candle you have a pretty good chance. Just put them in your incubator as you normally would. Good luck.

Just set them up properly and don't do anything too drastic to plump them back up. Over time they should start looking better. Good luck.
