    Our Rescue

Well I did not share with any of you that I decided to get a Blue Tongue Skink....I had one all picked out from a breeder ....he was beautiful. Then I found one on Craigs list....and it was all over from there. The poor lil girl was dehydrated....had lost her toes...had a broken wrist...2 fractures in her tail and had the beginnings of MBD and has never eaten a green in her life. I could not leave her there so we took her in. Her name is Betty...she loves me and the hubby but not a fan of my son. She always does the slow....IM gonna bite ya a bit with him. After several vet visits, a round of antibiotics every 3 days here she is in all her glory. She just got done burrowing so she has a little dust on her. She has gained 100 grams while with us and low and behold is eating her greens a little with her food.

    Beautiful!
I bet she's thinking she has finally died and gone to heaven.

    Nice rescue!

    Re: Our Rescue

thanks guys!! She is missing most of her toes and I have been told that the knobby parts on there will fall off eventually. We did not need to amputate thank God!! She still has a little bit of issues with the side of her mouth...I think there was 2 years of left over shed on it. But she is sweetheart...stubborn....but a sweetie. I am suprised she doesn't hate me after all the poor thing has gone through with me. But she is slowly on the mend.
