I know my car loved me......

Aka - Ode to my recently total'd car.....

I know that my car loved me - she always performed magnificantly for me, and we had a beautiful relationship for nine years.

She carried me on many trips without complaint over that period of time. When she didn't feel well, she'd let me know and I'd get her taken care of. When she'd come out of the shop, she'd just purr - that's one way I know she loved me!

She always started up for me, even in freezing temps and safely carry me to work every day, always vigilant and ready to respond when I asked her to - that's another way I know that she loved me.

And her final act of love was this past Monday, when she selfishly deployed her airbags in an attempt to save my life and end hers - that was her ultimate sacrifice of love!

So, you can't tell me that cars can't love, and she will be dearly missed!

And yes, this was in jest, but it really is a way for me to say goodbye to a faithful "friend" over these past nine years. I really miss that old girl, and it was very hard to say "goodbye" when I sat in her for the last time on Tuesday when I went to the shop to gather all my belongings from her. And call me sentimental, I did thank her for all the years we had together. She was a great car and I'm really going to miss her!

awwwwwwwwwww....it really is hard to say bye to a car you loved. That is how I felt about my 97 honda civic. I still miss the lil guy!! Stupid Dodge truck!!
