Full shed.
So I came home from work today and checked on my girl. I picked up her hide and wholly cow! There was her shed in a nice ball! Upon taking her out I saw a little was left over around the end of her tail. I'm sure she'll get it off, but I can help her if she needs it. Eye caps came off nice and clean. I'm very excited. And it took like 4 days, as far as I'm aware. I'm keeping notes on everything the moment I notice things.
I just noticed a little red is on her shed, which I assume could be blood, but there's nothing anywhere else. Should I be concerned by this at all? Because I'm really not to worried by it.
As of right now I have the shed in a zip lock baggie. It's awesome! Sorry this is really random, but I'm so excited she had a nice clean shed, because her first shed, I had to shed her myself.
Anyways, sorry again, but I just had to share this after having such a bad shed when I first got her.

Re: Full shed.
Blood is normal as long as it isnt a ton of blood. She most likely will not get that little bit off her tail alone. You can either use a little bit of warm water and help her get it off or you can leave it there and it will come off next shed. Just make sure it isnt covering her vent at all. Also, if you do decide to help her get it off be very gentle, dont force it and grats!

Congrats on a great shed!! It's a really good feeling when you have your first one huh!!

Re: Full shed.
I have my baby's perfect sheds hanging on the wall behind his enclosure! I've had him since Feb. and his 2 sheds with me have BOTH been perfect, and I've been lucky enough to find them when they're still soft so unrolling them carefully shows just how perfect they are!!

Re: Full shed.
My male just had his perfect shed since we rescued him. We had him in a tank before but he was sick and then went on a fast in November. He started eating again this month, after being in a tub since like february, and immediately went into shed. I was soooo happy to see that he didn't even need to use the rough log I added to his enclosure, just his hide

Re: Full shed.
My BP Apollo just shed this week too!
His first shed since I have owned the little guy. It only took a few days and its seemed to be "perfect".
I was very happy to take him out yesterday. The feel of his new skin is soo weird though. Its moist, yet seems a bit dry. Its almost like when he is moving around that he needs a bit more effort because the scales seem to "stick" better on my skin.
Very cool.
Congrats on you shed.
