Uniforms at a public school? I can see the rest, but uniforms. I went to a private school, Middletown Christian, and we didn't have to wear uniforms.

Yeah, uniforms. The shirts are purple, gray, or white and you have to wear khaki pants.

It could be the mom didn't like you handling the babies. Some mice don't like the babies being moved or handled. No telling. Mice do things.
