    Question High Ambient Temps

So its been sweltering in NY. About 85-90 degrees. I have all my snakes in my bedroom which has been about 85 degrees. Are they ok with room temps at this temp? I have a gb kingsnake, cornsnake, western hognose and kenyan sand boa up there. I just don't want to overheat them. Thanks!

Ok, I hope so. I've been making sure they have enough water. It's been in the 100s today and its in the 90s in the room. I assume the hognose and sand boa will be fine, but I'm worried about the king and corn. It should be cooler tomorrow I think. I have fans going so at least there is a slight breeze. When I move in 3 weeks, I'll have central air and won't have to worry like this, can't wait

90's today on L.I. as well. I keep my snake in my office with my computer. I had to go & replace my window air conditioner that went bad on me today. I try & keep my house ambient's in the 70's. Was in the upper 80's today indoors. Too hot for me & my pc never mind my snake. LOL She'll be fine with her UTH keeping her nice & warm.

They should be fine, I would just unplug excess heat sources for the time being to avoid it from getting even hotter.

They thrive in those temperatures in the wild all the time. Colubrids are a lot more sturdy and are ok with a range of temps.

Yes they will be fine. if you have heat like flexwatt turn it OFF.

When i kept corns i kept the room heated at 82 and they had not hot side. Their cool off was at night time.

If it happens to get higher yet you could put the cages, tanks or on the floor to soak up the cooler floor temp..
