    Late Season Anyone...

Don't know what it is this year but Im having a really late season. Im on the east coast and I have spoken with a couple other breeders who are having the same issues. I Wonder if it has anything to do with weather patterns we had this past winter. I start pairring in late october every year and usually already have a couple clutches in the incubator by now but not this year. I only have about 10 females that went this year, I witnessed multiple locks on all of them some have just finished prelay shed and some are ovulating now Just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat or if its just me lol. Here are some pics just for fun....

    Hows this for inverted

My snakes are ALL over the place this year--I have eggs hatching today, and I have some females that were still locking up last week!

    Re: Late Season Anyone...

I'm kinda east coast. Alabama anyway. And I'm having a pretty late season. I've only got 4 females that I'm breeding this year, and 3 have taken already. 1 clutch in the incubator, 1 clutch is going to be laid around June 5th, and the last clutch should be laid in about another 45-50 days (she just ovy'd). The other female probably isn't going to take. I've stopped pairing males with her and don't expect anything, but you never know.

I started pairing Nov. 1st. Didn't see my first ovy until late March.
