    Pastel Albino vs Albino

How do you tell pastel albinos from regular albinos? Ive been looking at pictures of the two and they look really similar to me. What markers do you look for or do you just have to trust the breeder?

If I'm not mistaken a regular albino has an orange-ish head, and a pastel albino has a solid white or mostly white head. I could be wrong, but I think that's it.

It may be the other way round, not really sure. :\

Wouldn't it be the other way around? Pastels have a ton of blushing on their heads and with albino the blushing is orange. However, Ive also seen normal albinos with orange heads.....

    no...
pastel will take some of the colour out of the albino, therefore will also take colour from the head pattern

Not sure but this boy is very yellow and it's getting better each shed.
Also the father was a pastel albino and compared to a normal albino, the yellow is more intense.
    And it's really interesting genetically

My bad, the boy is a pastel albino but I'm not sure how to tell when they are just out of the egg. The head pattern is different I guess.

Thanks for the input. The reason I was asking was I bought the pastel albino male off kingsnake. The seller has a really good rep, so Im trusting him.
