This is a bit confusing for me.

"Slammed him in a drawer a few times"? I guess first off is why was he kept in a drawer and secondly you mean she actually took the snake and slammed the drawer shut on him while he was partially exposed? She admitted to this? (If indeed that is the case).

The "still shedding" thing...do you mean stuck shed or that he has been in what looks like shed for 3 weeks? Then you say he is "shedding so much" I guess it's tough for me to piece the whole thing together and understand what is going on. Pics would be nice if possible. Of course a vet trip always can't hurt, except for the costs incurred if you really can't spring for it.

hes prolly shedding cuz the wounds are healing. just keep it dry and warm, clean the enclosure constantly, and keep the humidity high like u have been doing
A room full of empty racks and thermostats that have been unplugged.

I'm sorry. I just... The damage from being slammed in a drawer, several times... I'm imagining internal damage, broken ribs...

Re: Rescued abused BP need advice?

Its full sheds and he will completely shed in about 3 days then start another shed cycle within 24hrs after completely shedding Ive read the caresheet and have another ball python that is perfectly healthy and when he was shut in the drawer she said he got out of his tank without her knowing and was underneath the drawer and she tried to close it and it wouldn't close so she opened and closed it really hard and then realized the snake was in the way and Idk how to post pics just yet and can only access the site on my phone at the moment but will try to get pics of him asap

Omg. I would suggest a vet visit. There could be so much wrong internally that you have no clue about. I hope the snake ends up being okay.

take the snake to a vet, there could be so much internal damage that could lead to a very sad ending quite quickly, I mean it is a possibility that euthanizing it may be a better option instead of trying to rescue it. Have the vet take a look first though and see what happens, good luck

Re: Rescued abused BP need advice?

Well I'm relieved your friend wasn't DELIBERATELY slamming the drawer on him. But she may have seriously injured him by accident before she realized he was there. Right now he probably needs a vet visit.

Is he shedding his ENTIRE skin off, as in you have the shed skin, every 3 days? Or is part of it shedding and then later another part is shedding? If he is shedding entirely a whole shed(in one full piece you can hold up and see the whole snake's worth of skin) every few days then the vet should be consulted as well.

I'm confused though.. how long have you had him?
