Do gecko eggs "deflate" before they pip?

    and

On average what day do yours pip?

My first clutch ever is at day 52. My second clutch is day 5.

I know there in there cuz I candled them and I could see the little guys moving (in the first clutch)

    IM SO EXCITED!!!!

    Re: egg question

They don't deflate the way that ball python eggs do, but if you see some very slight denting around the time they should be hatching it's not usually a big deal. Any major denting probably means that the egg has gone bad though.

When the eggs hatch is completely dependant on what temperature they were incubated at and whether or not the temps were consistent. An egg incubated at a consisted 78 degrees will usually hatch at around 60 days. Each degree cooler usually adds a several more days onto that time.

    Re: egg question

They don't usually really get soft or change appearance too much prior to hatching--they just get bigger as time progresses and sometimes get vertical stretch mark type lines.
