Re: Waiting for my Boaphile :(

lol this is good to know. I was considering buying something from him also. I think he lost a few customers from this thread alone.

Thanks for the heads up on this garbage. Being told it will take 3 weeks, and going on close to 6 weeks is not acceptable if you ask me.

Then I called him this last Tuesday, and I basically told him I wanted to pick up the rack on Friday. He said that would probably work, and that he would call later in the week to work out the pick-up details.

I'm not surprised that I haven't heard from him, and Friday is almost over!
This is the reason I order all my racks from Rich at ReptileBasics.com
I've orderd 6 racks so far and each order had a fast turnaround time.
Also I could NEVER imagine Rich irritated about a customer calling him. His customer service is top notch.

AMEN there...Rich at RBI is great, but doesn't have larger cages...However, Ed from ConstrictorsNW has great HDPE cages that are pretty much indestructible...I'm caging over to his Pro-Line cages as money permits...Great guy, great customer service, worth the wait for his cages since he's a one man shop...

Re: Waiting for my Boaphile :(

I got both my racks at two seperate times in about 4-5 weeks. I remember the website saying that they usually take 4-6 weeks. The racks are great and were well worth the wait.

I think I would start asking for a refund at week 8 if he hasn't given you a reason for the delay and made you feel at ease about the transaction.

I understand that they are worth the wait -- that's why I decided to go with him (instead of RBI or somebody else). I also realize that the website says 4-6 weeks. That is why I asked him two weeks before I ordered, and when I ordered the rack how long it would take, and both times I was told 3-4 weeks.

So the point is, I was quoted 3-4 weeks. If I was told 6-8 weeks I would still be patiently waiting -- but now he is two weeks overdue!!

Today I asked for either a refund or a rack by this coming Friday -- we'll see which one I get -- hopefully one of them!

Re: Waiting for my Boaphile :(

Like I said earlier in the thread, I've got a 5 cage stack pack from boaphile. I couldn't be happier with it.
I understand your frustration, but hope you are happy with your new cage/s.

I've ordered from Boaphile three times now with never a problem. Sorry for your bad experience.

Re: Waiting for my Boaphile :(

I picked up the rack today!!

It seems as though what everyone says is true. If you can put up with the lousy service and waiting forever, the rack is worth the wait.

This is my first rack, so I have nothing to compare it to, but I think it should last a good number of years.

I already got my Herpstat hooked up, and the temps and humidity are holding just right, so the snakes are chlling in their new digs.

Thanks for all the help and support everyone!
