Buy a thermostat. Get identical, more secure hides. Tubs are easiest to maintain and Flexwatt heating tape is cheap as hell. If you still want a glass case, cover the top with foil tape or something to keep humidity in. I found that placing the CHE over the water dish brought both temperature and humidity up, though most say it dries it out. Don't listen to pet stores.
