You are aware that Adobe is dropping support for future products starting with CS5 for the Power-PC Macs, right? Make sure whatever you get is Intel based.
Can you even buy those anymore? Mine is 4 years old and has the intel chip.

I believe they stopped using the power-pc platform after first introducing the intel chip in the macbook line. I'm pretty sure even the towers are intel based now.
The last power pc was the G5 of 2005 I think. I have one on my desk at work and it is still faster running photoshop than the new dell laptop work bought for me. Adobe dropping the power pc is no worse than not supporting 98. Not a problem. Aleria bootcamp runs windows well, but who would want to?

Haha, right there with you on that one.
I haven't had windows installed on one of my macs in almost 2 years now. It seems enough of the gaming companies actually have been realizing that macs are good gaming machines and are releasing them for mac just as fast as pc.
Well that's mainly due to the fact that the requirements for games changes so much. It would be hard to design a game for a Mac because it would potentially only run well on specific versions of Macs and may not work at all going forward. That's been the big issue anyway. I think it's pretty sweet that Mac users now have Steam.
Yeah, it seems now that Apple has started moving more into the mainstream rather than trying to be so "out there" and proprietary, it is becoming a lot easier for the software companies to port the software over with little to no work at all.
