I absolutely love mine! They're really the coolest snakes. They just look really neat with their big fat bellies and stubby heads, and they're... very different pets. They've definitely got personality! Nothing like balls or boas when it comes to handling, but I think they're generally not as aggressive as people make them out to be. They're not an aggressive species, just a slight bit more of a handful than some other snakes. I've had mine for over a year now and I haven't gotten bitten. Struck at, hissed at, and pooped on many times, but never bit. Not great for hanging out while watching TV or surfing the web like a ball or a boa, but shorties are definitely handleable and can become very docile if handled regularly (I don't have the time to handle mine quite as often as I'd like to; I'm sure he would be easier to work with if I did).Originally Posted by tsshields
