Feeding Weight
Hey everyone, i was just wondering if anyone knew of a place where i can get a estimate on the weight of a rat for feeding? i know i want to feed around 10%-15% of her weight but im not sure how much the rats i can buy weigh. I feed live mediums right now and my girl is about 1570g. If anyone has a chart for average weight for S/M/L rats that would be great.

Re: Feeding Weight
One thing I have found is that there is really no "standard" for classifying the size of rats, especially among pet stores. Alot of members on here basically use the same size reference that Rodent Pro uses. Personally, I just take a digital food scale to the pet store and weigh out the rats until I find the one I need...

Same here I pick out the sizes I need myself most pet stores will let you do this. Unless you have your snake with you it is going to be your best bet with the size not the associates behind the counter.

The way I see feeding is nothing bigger than the girth of the snake.
