Chirping Tegu?

Do Tegus make any sounds? I was holding mine, and I heard a chirping sound. I'm not totally sure if it was him or not, but it didn't sound like a cricket chirp. So, do Tegus make any sounds???

I don't know about tegus, but monitors will sometimes, usually when they are uncomfortable. I find it very rare that monitors chirp, but some do so I would think tegus could as well.

I have never heard any sounds from any of my tegus except for hissing (rarely), and the odd wheaze when pushing out a large "crap"!

No chirping, or barking or tweeting. Not from tegus or monitors.
