Re: Best local pet shop a few pics
That looks horrible.. I can't believe someone with so much rep would end up having their larger constrictors like this. Very much of a shame.

Re: Best local pet shop a few pics
I work in a privately owned store, and I'll be the first to admit that it is difficult to keep up with every single cage. But honestly, that's ridiculous!
We do waters every day, and rat/mouse rack waters every other day. The big snakes/lizards upstairs get new water every few days and when a tank is nasty, we clean it. It's not that hard to do as long as you keep up with it.
Next time you go in, maybe volunteer your services to help out around the store on the weekends or something. If the owner lets you, you'll not only be doing him/her a huge favor, but those animals as well.
And who knows, maybe it will turn into a part time job!

Re: Best local pet shop a few pics
I agree. I bet it is a lot of work. But the fact is its like that EVERY TIME iv been in there. I go in maybe once or twice a week. For the past 3 weeks.
I know these big burms are not shedding 2x a week. So there is no excuse for the cages to still have shed in them 3 weeks later.
Not to mention in on u see a dry empty bowl of water with nothing but bedding..
Not sure how long its been like that but the cage looked dry so i doubt they tipped it and then tipped it right side up and filled it with bedding

Re: Best local pet shop a few pics
That's nasty. There is a pet shop in my area that doesn't even provide their bigger bps with water dishes. They house 2-3 adult bps per tank with no hides, no water, only CEDAR bedding with a bright light and no heat source. I hope that they are moved at night, but for some reason I doubt it.
