    WAHOO finally

I woke up this morning to find we finally produced our first ever egg. I am really hoping she isn't done laying but here is the picture. I candled the egg and put it in the incubator. It is a good egg. P.S. sorry for the size it wouldn't let me resize it for some reason when i uploaded it

Well here we are 6 hours later and no other eggs yet. Is it possible we removed the first one too soon? She keep looking around for it. I dont know when she laid it we noticed it this moring during our morning checks.

I think so. She still looks really full of eggs. It takes several hours for them to lay all the eggs and she had probably just started and decided that was a bad egg. Hopefully she stops looking for the egg and lays the rest! Good luck!

Well I just checked on her again and she is in a coil in here enclosure but no more eggs. She doesn't appear to be distressed or anything but when should I become concerned if she doesn't lay anymore. I can feel like there are more in there, But she doesn't appear to be bound or like she is struggling.

She looks fine. Just give her some time. Maybe leaving her alone over night will be enough Just leave her be, I'm sure she'll be alright!

i dont think thats normal, she may be eggbound if she dosent lay within 24 hours id take her to a vet since you dont or id say wouldnt have any experiance lancing the egg. but when they go into lay mode its pretty much a done deal for her to completely lay. so just keep an eye and only give her 24 hours...goodluck

Vet is not needed at this time. 1-2 weeks max is the time to worry if female has not fully laid the eggs. Usually females will lay all in matter of minutes or matter of days.

Leave her be and in a week you notice lumps manually massage them towards her vent and help her along.

    Re: WAHOO finally

Thanks rich you kind of put my mind more at easy. She has been showing signs of working the eggs down over the last few days. So I am pretty sure she is not egg bound the other eggs dont look like they have migrated to the tail yet.
