    Talking Update on Manasa! (rescue)

Some of you may remember this thread, posted around two weeks ago.

I'm happy to say that Manasa has made a HUGE improvement since then. She just shed today!

She is nearly done with her antibiotics and her respiratory infection is gone..she is no longer bubbling, gurgling, or mouth breathing. Her head has healed up nicely and the nasty scab that was on her eye finally came off a few nights ago (she rubbed it off on me, eww..).

    Anyway, pictures!!
    She's nearly five pounds

I've gotten quite attached to her. She's a very sweet girl. She's got a great disposition despite all she went through.

She's not perfect, but compared to this I would say she's made leaps and bounds.

She looks a LOT better than she did!

I'm so glad she's doing well for you, my heart just broke when I first saw her. Now, she's just a lovely girl. And besides, who minds a few battle scars, they give her character!

    Re: Update on Manasa! (rescue)

That is great news! I have to say that I am pretty weak when it comes to taking in animals in bad shape. I mean I would love to help out hurt animals, but just dealing with an animal in such bad shape would break my heart everytime I looked at it.

Thanks to strong people like you who are willing to deal with the troubles and emotions when dealing with mistreated animals like this, some animals truly get a second chance at life. I really thank you for that.

And yeah, she does look SO MUCH better. I remember when you posted those first pictures. If she keeps improving at this pace, she will look tons better in a short time.

Thanks for being strong enough to help this girl out. I love to see stories like this.

    Hooray!

...now that she's mostly out of the woods, I want to say how pretty she is, with that light gold coloring and that prominent stripe.
