Yeah, its just hard without any pictures, or being able to physically examine the animal. We'd love to help, but its pretty much impossible to do a diagnosis over the internet.

Re: Lumps on Head
well, the jaw muscles make 2 big lumps on the back of their head with a crease between them. How old and big is your BP. If he is younger, then maybe he is hitting a growth spurt and you just noticed it...

He is about 3 and a half. The glands are definitely swollen. The skin is stretched and there is a gap between the scales. It looks like his body does after a big meal. I understand that its difficult to diagnose over the net. I dont have a camera, i just thought it may be a common problem but I guess its not

yeah, that sounds like something is not right if the scales are stretched apart. I've never had to deal with a swollen head so I really have no clue. The only thing I can think of, other than it being something internal, is if maybe a spider got in the tank and managed to bite him. Unfortunately, the best I can tell you is to call a vet and see what they say. Hopefully some one with some insight on this will see this thread and offer something.
Any ideas how long it's been swelling, such as slowly throughout the day, or did it happen all at once?
Is your snake doing anything spastic, like corkscrewing his head, or jerking or anything out of the ordinary?

Havent noticed anything unusual. I just noticed the swelling so I guess it happened pretty quickly
