AP Economy Racks?
I'm looking at replacing my home-made rack with Animal Plastic's Economy Series.
I know a lot of you like Animal Plastics, but do most of you use the Economy Racks or the "solid" racks?
The price difference for what I would be getting would be about $100...and I know that doesn't sound like a lot, but as a student who is using half her grant money to get these, that IS a lot ... that's a whole thermostat to go with the racks.
I guess my question is - are the economy racks just as good of a deal as the enclosed ones? What are the pros and cons of each?
Thanks!!!

What it really will comes down to will be the ambient temp of your room, if the room is pretty cold I would not suggest the economy line.

Ive always used economy, but I have a pretty high ambient temp in the room. The pros of economy is mostly that they cost a lot less. The basic racks are better for really secretive snakes or if your room is colder.

Re: AP Economy Racks?
one of my racks is an AP economy rack, it was actually my first rack and i got it used off of a member on here
i LOVE that rack. The one i have houses the 15 and 32 quart tubs which has been a life saver, its extremely versatile.
Because in the winter the ambient temps are not very good here (down to 58 before we got a space heater, however that was NOT in the snake tubs, they were around 75, a bit low but everyone still had a hot spot). I covered the open sides with some foam board for insulation. That was a dollar store fix and well worth it. My snakes are more secure too.

Re: AP Economy Racks?
Thank you all for your comments. I think I might save up and get the enclosed ones only because right now I may have to move them back into my bedroom to house a room mate in our guest room for a bit.
Thanks again!
