Re: Have you ever bought a phone off Ebay?

Yes. It was bad. I bought a blackjack II back when they were in and I got it and it was locked. Dude tried to say he didn't lock it and he didn't know what happened. You can not unlock it without the code. AT&T couldn't even do it for me. Luckily I got to send it back to the guy and got a refund. I would guess it was stolen. How else would you put in a code for your phone but didn't know you did it or what the code was????

Re: Have you ever bought a phone off Ebay?

I personally have not, but my boss has bought almost all her phones(her's and her kids and boyfriend's) off Ebay and she's had great luck getting good working phones with advertised accessories. Then when she needed additional accessories she's found those on Ebay or in local stores. So by her experiances, it's been good.

Make sure the seller has a good rep without a bunch of neg ones about not shipping, slow shipping, bad product and all that. Not all sellers are created equal on Ebay for certain!

I've only bought a couple from Ebay, but I've sold quite a few. Good experiences overall.

Nope, mine were bad. You got off a little better, I didn't get my refund. Some times I think Paypal hates me, I never win even when I use them.

That's why it's so important to check their feedback. Usually bad deals will follow the same seller. You don't usually wake up today and say, hey, I think I'll start selling bad phone.

    Bad feedback is the key.

Bad feedback is a no no and so is low feedback but in my situation the guy had great feedback. I check all that before I buy from anyone. The only thing in my situation was that was the first phone he ever sold. Which is not a red flag. I have very good feedback on ebay and I have never sold a phone. But if I wanted to sell my used phone on there and people looked at my feedback they would see that I have never sold any phones either. But in my case they would get my phone and get it as advertised. With all that said bad feedback or very low is a good indicator something will go wrong. But the guy I got my phone from had very good feedback. I guess it was a good thing he did because he gave me no trouble refunding my money and the return shipping price to ship it back to him. I did not have to open a paypal dispute.
