    Question uth ?'s

    Do i need a thermostat for my uth or not

    yes. it will keep your uth from getting too hot & burning your snake.

    it really depends on your budget but be aware that cheap is not always the best way to go. you can get cheap at reptilesupply.com. maybe they'll have other ones there as well.

    ok reptilesupply.com has one for $29.49 & another for $89.99. like i said it depends on your budget.

    I'll just second that. Mine got up to 120 F without a thermostat, which I've heard can burn humans after a few minutes. I've heard tell of them reaching 150.

    Yes but they are not as reliable as a thermostat. The temps can still spike with a rheostat and you will need to adjust the rheostat fairly often to maintain a constant temp.

    yes a dimmer switch cam work you just have to check it constantly because the temp will vary if the ambient temps change
