For those who know me, I found my BP Cola back in November hiding behind a Coke machine
I'm now to the point where I feel like I am providing a relatively safe/comfortable atmosphere for him.
My question is in regards to weight/feeding schedules.
For the last four months, I have been feeding Cola roughly once every week, usually on Fridays. When I go to the store I tell them to give me the "largest small" rat. I guess I should start weighing the rat also so I can tell you guys how much on average he is eating. But... I feel like that is a good sized meal for him. If that's too small, you guys can let me know I'm sure
I've only been weighing him since February, and he's been gaining weight pretty quickly in my opinion. Here is what I've found so far:
February - 950 grams
March - 1050 grams
April - 1100 grams
May - 1220 grams
I usually try and weigh him about 3 days after he's had a meal so I don't add any artificial weight to him. I will tell you that I weighed him today, and fed him this past Saturday, but he laid a pretty big turd on Sunday that gave me the confidence that he had digested enough to give a solid number.
So........
1. is his meal the appropriate size?
2. am I weighing him at the right time?
3. how big should I expect him to get?
THANKS!![]()
