You did the right thing Bowser and I'm personally glad that you started this thread just to show people what can happen if you don't feed your snake responsibly. I would actually suggest to the mods to maybe make a sticky out of this thread for educational purposes. This is why I'm glad my bp takes frozen rats. I never have to worry about the risk of feeding live. I know this particular situation was because the snake was left alone unsupervised with the rat, but I just still never liked the risk involved feeding live. I'm lucky mine has always been able to eat freeze/thawed. I know some BPs just won't take freeze/thawed so the owners have no choice. Anyway, sorry you had to go through that, and good job for doing the right thing by seeking advice from other responsible owners before doing anything.Originally Posted by BOWSER11788
