if you've been feeding it once a week why the sudden change?
if it can eat more than 1 mouse a week just up it to a small rat or larger mouse
(its safe if you feed it one at a time.. but after it eats the first one and swallows it, it'd have a bulge in its stomach, making it more annoying for your snake to attack and constrict the second one)
you can feed your snake two mice in one sitting, yes. Once the first one is down the hatch and the snake has realigned its jaws (yawned) then you can offer the second.
I do this all the time for my sub adult snakes that are too small for small rats, but too big for just one mouse.
^^^^^ YUP. I have a BP that won't eat rats. Shes 1000g. This is what I have to do. I get 2 mice and feed her the first one. Once she has clearly swallowed the first one AND adjusted her jaws again Ill go ahead and feed her the 2nd one. If you want to wait 5-10 minutes or so after the first that's fine too. If the snake is still hungry it will go after the 2nd.
The adjusting of the jaws is important because they need to lock down on the next mouse.
