Re: Help Me Identify My Morph!

looks like it a normal but I very nice reduce pattern. if it a morph it het for the morph (and that may get hard to prove out best ask your friend again and write it down. Just tell him in the excitement you forgot the morph he claimed it was.

Re: Help Me Identify My Morph!

Sorry to tell you, but in my opinion its not a morph. The only thing it could possibly be would be a desert or an enchi, but with most people with those kind of morphs know exactly what they have, not saying you dont know what your doing. Im thinking its just a sweet looking normal. I would deffinetly say its worth breeding.

Re: Help Me Identify My Morph!

Thanks for all the help guys. Like one of the earlier posts mentioned, in the excitement, I forgot the type. I didn't know too much about ball pythons then, and am still learning. I will get into contact with the seller and ask him once more.

In the mean time, I will try to post a few more pictures under appropriate lighting, because I don't think these ones are 100% accurate. The contrast in color from the sides to the top isn't being done justice. Either way, I think he looks great, but it would be a shame if I was misinformed...

Re: Help Me Identify My Morph!

No its not a pastel. It does have a nice clear belly. It could just be a very clean normal. Did you pay anything for it? Like I said before the only morph it looks like IMO is a desert but they are not cheap and if your friend knew what it was I dont think it would be just given away. If you cant get a definate answer from your friend then you cant say its a morph until you breed it and prove it. Breed it to an Enchi and you will know for certain if its a desert. The desert/enchi combo is umistakable. Or to a yellow belly. The desert YB has markings that look like puzzle pieces.

Re: Help Me Identify My Morph!

Now I know nothing about morphs really. I am just trying to ID snake species in general at this point.

But I wanted chime in. I see a lot of people saying this is not a morph. But it seems to be very "yellow" to me. My normal (or normal as far as I know) is not nearly that bright.

Very nice snake indeed and keep investigating what morph it is.

Normals in there own right are so varyingly beautiful but they do vary. In my opinion this one is a very nice and light normal.
