i went out last night and bought the zilla temperature censor with the automatic on and off switch and set it to about 92, if it gets hotter then that it will automatically turn off. it already seems to be working cuz ive seen it turn on and off. as for my ambient temperature, at night its about 80 on the warm side and during the day its about 90 with the stronger heat bult. which i dont like using the stronger heat bulb cuz it takes away a lot of my humidity away so since i have the heat pad can i just use the night light and have the ambient temperature be about 80 all day long?

Just cuz you have it set to 92* u may want to make sure its getting that hot with a thermomoter probe. I have the same one you do and i have mines set to like 86 but the temps in the tubs are 90-92

Also you do not need the light. All you need is ur heat pad which provides the hotspot of 92* and then a ambient air temp of like 80.

If you have ur ambient temps 90* and a heat pad how is he supposed to thermo regulate?
